A staircase is drawn for one stairwell and nowhere else. We measure the floor-to-floor height and the space available, calculate a comfortable step, then build it in the workshop so that it only needs assembling on site.
What is included
- Survey and calculation of the flight: rise, going, headroom
- Plan to approve before manufacture
- Workshop manufacture: strings, treads, risers, handrail
- Assembly and fixing on site, balustrade included
- Varnish, oil or paint finish
Good to know
Oak, ash and beech are the usual species for treads: hard enough not to mark. A comfortable stair follows an old rule of thumb that we check on every project: twice the rise plus the going between 60 and 64 cm.
If the stairwell has to be cut or enlarged, we say so at the visit and it appears on the quote, not halfway through the job.
Whatever the job, this comes with it

The right VAT rate
5.5% or 10% when your home qualifies, stated on the quote.
